Kasia Haus is conceived as a reaction to its setting and topography, set upon the plot as a rotund presence. Against the strong verticality of the terrain, the house proposes a horizontal box. Its development runs in reverse: you enter through the communal areas, with the bedrooms placed on the lower level; the master bedroom — a symbolic, emphatic volume — flies over the pool, interacting with the horizon and sheltering the main living space.
First prize in the competition and commission for drafting the Master Plan of Gaucín — a plan committed to its surroundings and the environment, from absolute respect for legality and planning regulations. In the province of Málaga and part of the Valle del Genal, Gaucín holds a strategic position linking the Costa del Sol and the Campo de Gibraltar with the Serranía de Ronda; with 98 km², it is a key element in inter-provincial and regional communications.
